Remember, Our Teachers !

We have been taught how to read and write, to speak punctually, to behave with civility and to most importantly we have been educated. We are the prime species of this planet, the ones who are destined to make it flourish. But now we plunged into an selfish era where the children don’t see the power of education as greed blinds them. An era of boorish students who are unaware of respecting teachers and it has affected the faith of teachers in students. It is an era where the majority values 'social' more than 'smart'. The pristine work of a teacher is turning into a monotonous day job and education is falling exponentially with time. To make a change we have to respect our teachers for their tome and effort even though we personally don't like the subject, but because we got to know something. Knowledge is true wealth and our teachers don’t teach because they educated unemployed people, they teach as it fulfills theirs lives. Empathize with their struggle and if you ever realize it, just thank them. That’s all they want for making the world better.

Free Water !

Look around yourself and tell me one thing other than air that is constantly present and wanted in order to survive, feel comfortable. Its water and many people don't seem to be appreciating it anymore, not nearly as they do to other materialistic conveniences. Certainly more that 70% of the Earth is covered with water but only a scant 2% of that is fresh water. My perception of the world is that people reading blogs have no problems letting the tap run for a shave or while washing dishes and even I consider that as petite lethargy but I can't put a blind eye to the millions of humans dying daily as a result of lack of water or a water related disease. I type this to give voice for my friends who don't have a page on social networks, who can't blog like we do about our life and the problems we consider to be problems. I don’t demand charity but I want to create a small sense of duty of being human and coexisting.
We don't see or even empathize with the 345 million people facing water scarcity everyday let alone the 3.4 million annual deaths due to drinking unsafe and contaminated water. We all unknowingly love water while others crave for it. There are places where having water separates the rich from the poor. In ancient times rain was considered a gift from the Gods and as the water droplets fell through sky people joyed at the fruitful occasion. It  was a natural source of irrigation, it cooled those scorching days and brought along it a cold and soothing breeze and no one minds the sight of kids playing in the rain because in materialistic terms it’s just people being happy with nothing.  Since the times humans evolved to intelligence they realized the value of water inferred that to make a city first they need to set up a water distribution system, that people need drinking water. They harvested rain, a lot ! They engineered ways to effectively collect the water and save it for later use. As compared to now, imagine if each and every house, building, shack, petrol pump have and effective rain harvesting system. I invoke for  a world in which we just save some by using our own and us saving a little when taken on a larger scale enables our government to provide to the unlucky. Only when you experience the need for water or see a fellow human crave, starve due to lack of water maybe then you will experience an epiphany. Sadly just maybe.
I love the feeling of drinking water, it makes me feel safe, something less to worry about. I wish I could share that feeling with others just lying in their homes thinking if they can have a sip, a proper bathroom routine, a proper meal. I just take care of my small responsibility to conserve thinking that if my tap runs then somewhere someone's tap wont. I want the community to re-realize the value of water. Just stop the tap when you are done, flush wisely ( felt funny writing that ), if possible use a bucket instead of shower. Do you even see that taking your car through car wash is a monumental waste of water and shows how lazy we have become. I urge for a community where health care and drinkable water is free and available in even the smallest possible ways. I'm disheartened to see that with the current economical status of some countries they still choose to line up vending machines of food and beverages but not those of free water and band aids. With this the community should be smart and not misuse, it is a must to be civil and keep the not so well of in mind.
There is 326,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons (326 million trillion gallons) of water on Earth, a healthy human needs a minimum of 8 glasses ( 2 liters or half a gallon ) of water per day and still so many die due to... well simply no water. Its not only us who needs water, we have so many pets in our community we and it is our responsibility to feed them, they aren't greedy like humans, they know how to coexist and a simple cup of water outside your house can put a smile to a dog's face. Think about it, think of your nation, think of the world. I am not encouraging any major donation, because there isn't the need if only people understand small steps are to be taken first and so even though we have 24 hour running water we should help the world by not misusing. We should encourage rainwater harvesting and if you tell me that rainwater is not drinkable due to atmospheric pollution making it minutely acidic, I agree. But then use it to clean your car, use it water some plants, connect the piping through to your bathroom or the best give it to the poor, it is still distilled water. Indeed, charity begins at home.

I Like Your Smile

We all long happiness, whether we long it for ourselves or for loved ones. We all pray for happiness , pray for a solution to our problems and when we overcome the problem we all undoubtedly feel happy even if it’s the faintest sensation in the deepest corner of our heart, we will be happy. There is a sign of happiness which we all learn even without acknowledging the fact of learning it, there is a simple majestic beauty in this sign which when shown by any life form conveys a  warm gesture. This sign we call a smile. Its conveys acceptance and happiness, doesn't even take much to achieve, it is the first thing you did when the first time you felt the sensation of being happy. They are mutual such that happiness would bring a smile and smile would bring happiness.
You may disagree that smiling can bring happiness by pointing out countless cruel situations when you might be alone and disheartened, sadly possibly crying and say there is no point smiling, that it won't get them the happiness they long. But my character of being a realist which is sprinkled with layers of optimism says that in such dire situations smiling won't bring happiness but it will surely calm the feeling of your heart falling unendingly and change your perspective. Its not easy but if just simply remembered to smile  you choose to overlook the dull side of any situation and you accept the present. A smile at those times is your personal helping hand, shoulder and a sign of courage from the aching heart. Its as beautiful as phoenix rising from fire. Such smile now days are indeed rare. People have an ideology of smiling because they are happy and not smiling to bring and spread happiness. Its so heartwarming to see a person smile as the interaction, however lengthy, comes to a conclusion. After you meet someone maybe completely new, if they leave with a smile note that you made a difference, you made the difference of making that interaction a kind one and not a one where two people meet with blank expressions, ideally achieve the aim of meet and then leave as emotionless as their meet or even make it worse by being rude. You at that point choose to make it a kind, fruitful meet and you achieve this by very small gestures such like offering water to a the mailman on a hot day or saying thank you to the gloomy immigration officer at the airport or simply by smiling and walking through the street someone would surely take a glimpse of your happiness and would choose to be happy rather than bland.
